Indirect tank call and priority
What happens, in order
- DHW mode 1 uses an indirect tank with a sensor (mode 0 default = no DHW)
- Tank sensor drops below the DHW setpoint (2.115) and the boiler fires and modulates to it
- 120 V goes to the DHW pump terminals 15 and 16 while serving the tank
- If CH and DHW are called together, DHW priority mode (2.042) decides: 0 = timed swap using 2.043, 1 = CH always first, 2 = DHW always first
- With mode 0 the boiler swaps between CH and DHW each time the priority time runs out

Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
