False flame signal with burner off (F11)

What is going on

Flame signal present with no call.

Likely causes

  • Leaking gas valve
  • Condensate backup
  • Refractory touching probe

Check in this order

  1. Look in the sight window; if lit, shut the gas and replace the valve
  2. Check condensate path and the refractory wall
  3. Replace igniter and rectifier if signal remains over 1.0 with burner off

Applies to: EL-80, EL-110, EL-150, EL-220, EL-299, EL-399 (N/LP)
