What the display is showing

Both controls keep recent status codes in memory and do not lose them when 115 V or 24 V power is interrupted (amber LED boards). This mode replays them on the amber LED. The 59TP6A keeps the last 7; code 11 means no fault is stored. The two-digit codes are read as short flashes (first digit) then long flashes (second digit).

Applies to: 59TP6A and 58SB0A/58SB1A furnaces (amber status LED control)

What to do

  1. 59TP6A Make sure there is no thermostat signal and all blower-off delays have finished. Leave 115 V on and remove the blower door.
  2. 59TP6A Turn setup switch SW1-1 ON and manually hold the blower door switch closed. The control flashes up to 7 stored codes in order; the last one (the 8th) is always 11.
  3. 59TP6A Turn SW1-1 OFF. A steady amber LED then shows proper operation. Refit the blower door.
  4. 58SB0A/58SB1A With no thermostat signal and the blower-off delays finished, note the current LED state through the sight glass.
  5. 58SB0A/58SB1A Briefly pull the wire off the draft safeguard (DSS) switch until the LED goes out, then reconnect it. The LED then flashes the stored code 4 times; record it. If nothing is stored it flashes 11.
  6. 58SB0A/58SB1A Do not leave the LS or DSS wire off longer than 4 seconds, or the blower starts and the stored code is replaced by 33.
