What the display is showing
Service mode that runs the inducer, igniter and blower one after another with no call for heat, so each part can be checked on its own. It only starts when no thermostat signal is present at the control. The gas valve is never opened during the test.
Applies to: 59TP6A and 58SB0A/58SB1A furnaces (amber status LED control)
What to do
- 59TP6A Remove the blower door and the wire on the R terminal. Turn setup switch SW1-6 ON and manually hold the blower door switch closed.
- 59TP6A sequence inducer runs at high-heat speed; after 10 seconds the hot surface igniter is on for 15 seconds; the blower runs at mid-range airflow for 15 seconds; the inducer then drops to low-heat speed for 10 seconds and stops.
