Indirect water heater call
What happens, in order
- DHW sensor (or aquastat) calls when tank temperature drops below DHW set point by more than the offset
- DHW pump on
- Boiler runs at the boiler DHW supply temperature
- Control checks supply temperature against DHW set point minus differential and shows TEMPER BLOCKING if too hot
- Demand continues until tank is above set point
- DHW pump can run on for the DHW post pump time
- DHW priority limits DHW run time and guarantees a minimum central heat run time

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
