Inducer runs 60 seconds then off for 5 minutes

What is going on

R95P: pressure switch not proving.

Likely causes

  • Blocked vent/intake
  • Water in hoses
  • Wind
  • Bad pressure switch

Check in this order

  1. Check pressure switch, hoses and wires.
  2. Check for blocked vent, excess vent length/elbows, blocked heat exchanger.
  3. Check switches/hoses for water.
  4. Check inducer is wired correctly.
  5. Look for wind opening the switch or intermittent switch operation.

Applies to: Rheem/Ruud (-)95P series 95% single-stage condensing gas furnace (R95PA)
