Inducer (draft motor) does not start on heat call
What is going on
R95P: no inducer on a heat call.
Likely causes
- No 24 V on W
- Limit circuit open
- Inducer or capacitor failed
- Wiring IFC to inducer
Check in this order
- Set fan to AUTO and call for heat (set point more than 10 F above room).
- Check 24 V on W at the IFC; if none, check thermostat mode, battery, wires.
- Check for an open limit or limit circuit.
- Check line voltage at the inducer and on the IFC inducer pins.
- Check wires/connections IFC to inducer and inducer capacitor (90+).
- Check IFC last - most failures are not the IFC.

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
