Indoor blower does not start after burners light
What is going on
Burners light but the main blower does not start on heat speed about 20 s later.
Likely causes
- No line voltage on HEAT terminal
- Wiring from IFC to blower motor
- Bad blower capacitor or motor
- Pressure switch or limit opened during the trial
Check in this order
- Warning: Hazardous line voltage - disconnect power before servicing; work must be done by a trained, qualified service technician.
- Check line voltage between HEAT and NEUTRAL on the IFC.
- Check wires, connections and continuity between the IFC and the indoor blower motor.
- Check the blower capacitor, then the motor.
- If a pressure switch opened during the ignition trial, follow the 2-blink steps; if a limit opened, follow the 3-blink steps.

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
