Direct vent: sidewall termination kits RXGY-G02 (2 in) and RXGY-G01 (3 in)
What is going on
Horizontal venting only. Use RXGY-G02 for 2 in pipe or RXGY-G01 for 3 in pipe. The kit can be used with either direct or non-direct vent. Do not install on the prevailing winter wind side. Multiventing with this kit is not permitted. A trap on the combustion air pipe is not required.
Check in this order
- Do not install on the prevailing winter wind side of the structure.
- Keep at least 12 in (U.S.) above grade or expected average snow level to the bottom of the vent cover.
- Use silicone sealant between the vent pipe and vent cap, and seal all wall penetrations.
- Do not stack kits one above the other.
- Vent should protrude no more than 2-1/4 in beyond the vent plate.
- Air intake should protrude no more than 1 in beyond the vent plate.
- Install vent and air intake piping into the vent plate openings.
- Do not use common venting with this kit.
- Use RXGY-G02 with 3 in vent only with a maximum of 18 in of 2 in pipe before the wall.
- Canada terminations must conform to CSA B149.1-10, Sect. 8.14.

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
