Glow Combi C95 & C140

What is going on

Technician checklist. Service must be done yearly or the warranty is void.

Check in this order

  1. Check boiler room floor drains for proper function.
  2. Keep the boiler area free of combustibles and flammable liquids.
  3. Test the safety relief valve (see relief valve test guide).
  4. Test the low-water cut-off.
  5. Test the ignition safety shut-off features.
  6. Remove the front door panel and check for debris from the combustion air intake.
  7. Check all venting for leaks. Make sure vent screens are clean and clear.
  8. Inspect the burner and replace it if it is deteriorated.
  9. Inspect and clean the heat exchanger combustion chamber if needed (see heat exchector cleaning guide).
  10. With the boiler running, confirm condensate drips from the condensate tubing. Check the condensate drain line for restrictions.
  11. Make sure nothing blocks combustion or ventilation air.
  12. Listen for water flow noise that would indicate a drop in boiler water flow.

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority. HVACopedia is not affiliated with any manufacturer; brand and model names only identify the equipment.
