Loc 22 Three flame failures in one demand

High severity Glow B85/B120/B160

What the control is telling you

The flame was lost three times during one burner run.

Applies to: B85, B120, B160 (NG and LP)

Likely causes

  • Low or unstable inlet gas pressure
  • Weak flame signal (under 1.5 uA)
  • Dirty ionization or ignition electrodes
  • Harness not seated at the control
  • Vent blockage

Test and repair steps

  1. Measure inlet gas pressure at the valve while the boiler runs.
  2. Read the flame current at parameter 1.008. Below 1.5 uA, clean both electrodes. Parameter 1.053 counts total flame failures.
  3. Make sure the harness is fully seated at the control.
  4. If the flame signal stays low, replace the ionization electrode.
  5. Check the venting for blockage.
