Heating mode and anti-cold-air
What happens, in order
- Room at or below setpoint plus about 2C (start with heating): reversing valve, compressor and outdoor fan start together; indoor fan runs under the anti-cold-air rules
- Room reaches setpoint plus about 3C compressor stops, outdoor fan runs on 60 s, indoor fan blows 60 s on low then stops
- Reversing valve is energized in heating; setpoint range 61-86F
- Anti-cold-air with room below 75F coil at or below 104F and indoor fan stopped, so the fan waits 2 minutes then runs low; if the coil passes 104F sooner it starts low immediately, and after 1 minute on low goes to set speed
- If the coil exceeds 108F during the wait or the low-speed minute, the fan goes to set speed
- Current limiting uses the same 16/17/18/20 A steps as cooling
Timings and thresholds
| Item | Value |
|---|---|

| Outdoor fan run-on | 60 s |
| Fan wait | 2 min |
| Low speed run | 1 min |
| Coil thresholds | 104F / 108F |
