Compressor restart delay and minimum run time
What happens, in order
- Unit is energized or a restart is requested after a stop
- Control holds the compressor off until at least 3 minutes have passed since it last stopped
- If the memory function is on and the compressor was stopped before power was lost, the first start after power-up has no 3 minute wait
- If the compressor was running before power was lost, the first start after power-up waits 3 minutes
- Once started, the compressor is not allowed to stop for 6 minutes, whatever the room temperature does

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
