Gree · Mini-split · Cooling
Cooling mode
What happens, in order
- Room temperature is at or above the set temperature, so the compressor and outdoor fan start and the indoor fan runs at the selected speed
- Reversing valve stays de-energized in cooling
- When the room falls 2C (3.6F) below the set temperature, the compressor stops, the outdoor fan runs on for 30 s and the indoor fan keeps its set speed
- Between set temperature minus 2C and set temperature, the unit keeps doing whatever it was doing
- While the compressor runs and the room is within 2C below setpoint, a high indoor fan speed drops to medium; it returns to the set speed once the room is 1C (1.8F) above setpoint
- Overcurrent high total current limits compressor frequency; excessive current stops the compressor, the outdoor fan runs on for 30 s and E5 is shown on the indoor unit (outdoor yellow light blinks 5 times)
