Forced (compulsory) defrost from the remote
What happens, in order
- Unit is running in heating at a set temperature of 16C
- Press + - + - + - on the remote within 5 seconds
- The unit enters forced defrost; the heating indicator on the indoor unit goes on 10 s and off 0.5 s repeatedly
- The outdoor unit defrosts using the normal defrost frequency and valve opening
- The unit leaves forced defrost on its own based on the actual defrost result and returns to normal heating
- If the unit has a fault or is stopped by a protection, forced defrost only works after that clears
