Compressor will not run - Gree ductless

What is going on

Outdoor fan may run but the compressor does not start.

Likely causes

  • Wiring loose
  • Capacitor fault (where used)
  • Supply voltage high or low
  • Burnt winding (0 ohm)
  • Seized compressor

Check in this order

  1. Check compressor wiring against the diagram.
  2. Measure supply voltage.
  3. Measure winding resistance; a short means replacing the compressor.
  4. If it is seized, replace the compressor.
