Upflow horizontal, left side down - alternate drain setup
What is going on
Alternate drain route using the RF000142 coupling for an upflow furnace on its left side.
Check in this order
- Cut off and discard the 45 degree radius end of factory hose #2.
- Fit the 90 degree radius end of hose #2 to the RF000142 drain outlet with a red clamp.
- Insert the coupling into hose #2 and secure with a red clamp.
- Cut hose #5 3 in from the non-grommet end, discard that section, and feed the cut end through the lower cabinet drain hole.
- Insert a 100 degree elbow in the cut end of hose #5.
- Connect hose #6 between the coupling and the 100 degree elbow with red clamps, cutting off excess tubing.
- Move the left collector cap to the right (top) collector port.
- Feed the non-grommet end of hose #11 through the upper cabinet drain hole and clamp it to the collector box with a silver clamp.
- Clamp hoses to the trap with silver clamps, then secure the trap with the two removed screws.
- Connect the field drain to the trap outlet per the field drain section.

Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
