Indoor blower will not run
What is going on
Blower dead. No heat air, no cooling air, no continuous fan. Same symptom on every call means the problem is the motor, its power, or the board's output. Check the motor wiring, the capacitor and 120 V at the motor taps. Power off first.
Likely causes
- Miswiring or loose connections at the control or motor
- No 120 V to the motor, or motor failed
- Control board not sending 120 V
- Run capacitor failed
Check in this order
- Turn off power at the disconnect before touching wiring or components
- Check the wiring and connections at the control and the blower motor
- Energize Y, G and W one at a time on the low-voltage strip and check for 120 V at the motor taps
- On a W call the blower starts after a 45 second delay, so wait it out
- Replace the motor if it has 120 V on each tap and does not run
- If there is no 120 V on a Y, G or W call, replace the control
- Replace the run capacitor if it is defective, and test it with a meter first
Applies to: G43UF-24B-045 through G43UF-60D-135 (SureLight boards 32M88, 78M47, 100973-01)

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
