Reading and retrieving status codes
What is going on
Status LED: heartbeat (bright-dim) = normal; code = short flashes (first digit) then long flashes (second digit). Up to 7 codes are stored and survive power loss.
Check in this order
- Look through the blower door sight glass at the amber LED before removing the door.
- With no thermostat call and blower off-delay finished, leave 115 V on, remove the blower door, turn SW1-1 ON and hold the door switch closed.
- The LED flashes up to 7 stored codes in order; the 8th is a heartbeat.
- Turn SW1-1 OFF; a heartbeat means normal; replace door.
- Codes clear after 72 hours, or manually SW1-1 ON and jumper R, W/W1 and Y/Y2 together until heartbeat, then SW1-1 OFF.
- Note the flowchart version says to disconnect R and reset power before SW1-1 ON.

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
