Lennox · Gas fireplace troubleshooting
Fireplace does not respond to the remote - Lennox Elite LDV
What is going on
Pressing ON/OFF on the hand remote does nothing.
Likely causes
- Wall receiver slider not on REMOTE
- Remote batteries low
- Receiver batteries low
- Remote not paired with the receiver
- Receiver mounted inside a metal box (short range)
Check in this order
- Check the slider on the wall receiver is on REMOTE (ON and OFF are manual).
- Press ON/OFF and watch the remote LED. No light or a dim light = replace the 3 AAA batteries.
- If the receiver gives 3 beeps on each press, replace its 4 AA batteries.
- To pair a new remote slider on REMOTE, press ON/OFF. Three beeps = paired.
- Backup slide the receiver to ON to light the fireplace by hand.
- Check the receiver is not inside a metal box. Metal cuts the radio range.
