PLEASE WAIT Remote controller start-up message
What the display is showing
The wired remote shows PLEASE WAIT after power is applied to the indoor unit or after recovery from a power failure. The part-names page says it stays about 3 minutes; the troubleshooting page says remote operation is blocked for about 2 minutes while the system starts. During this time the outdoor board shows LED1 and LED2 lit, then LED2 goes out and LED1 stays lit. All of this is correct operation. If PLEASE WAIT is followed by an error code after about 2 minutes, that is a real fault.
