E9 Cold air prevention (status)

Low severity Gree SapphireGree Livo GEN4Gree Vireo GEN3

What the control is telling you

Not a fault. In heating the indoor fan waits until the coil is warm so cold air is not blown into the room.

Applies to: Gree Sapphire 9-24k (SAP..HP230V1A), Livo GEN4 30-36k (4LIV..HP230V1A), Vireo GEN3 9-24k (3VIR..HP115/230V1A)

Test and repair steps

  1. Wait a few minutes after a heating start or after defrost.
  2. If it never ends, check the outdoor unit is actually heating (compressor running, reversing valve energized).
