What is going on

Possible causes and checks for: wide temperature swing / overshoot / lag.

Likely causes

  • Anticipator mis-set (too high rating = slow heating of stat), large differential, line-voltage stat

Check in this order

  1. Set anticipator to measured control current
  2. Low-voltage stat + relay
  3. Electronic stat. pp.973–975 [947–949]
