Functional test after maintenance

TRX150

What is going on

Last job before handing the TRX150 back. Fill, purge, power up, check.

Likely causes

  • Air left in the CH or DHW circuits
  • System pressure below the fill target
  • Exhaust pipe loose, or a gas joint missed after service

Check in this order

  1. Fill and purge the CH circuit to 12 psi and fill and purge the DHW circuit.
  2. Power the boiler on.
  3. Purge air again from the CH and DHW circuits if needed.
  4. Check boiler and system settings and components, and confirm all adjustments work.
  5. Confirm the exhaust pipe is connected properly.
  6. Reinstall the boiler front cover.
  7. Check for gas leaks.
  8. Set the maintenance interval if needed.

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority. HVACopedia is not affiliated with any manufacturer; brand and model names only identify the equipment.
