Blower not running
What is going on
No blower operation on a call for heat.
Likely causes
- 5-position signal connector or 3-position power connector loose
- Blown fuse A
- Failed blower
Check in this order
- Verify the 3-position power Molex and the 5-position signal Molex are seated on the blower
- Check fuse A (it also feeds the spark generator and PUMP B)
- Measure voltage across pins 1 and 2 (black and white) of the 3-position connector; with 120 VAC present, pull the 5-position signal plug and the blower should spin at high speed - replace the blower if it does not

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority. HVACopedia is not affiliated with any manufacturer; brand and model names only identify the equipment.
