ODU P5 Condenser high temperature (outdoor board)
What the control is telling you
Outdoor board display. Indoor shows PC0A.
Applies to: DLCMRBH / DLCMHBH multi-zone outdoor units 18-48K (Midea, Carrier, Viessmann Vitocal 200-S)
Test and repair steps
- Safety kill power at the disconnect and wait for the inverter capacitors to discharge before touching boards or wiring.
- Check the condenser (T3) sensor connection and resistance (about 10 kOhm at 77 F).
- If outdoor air is above 122 F (50 C), the unit is outside its range: shut it down.
- Check outdoor airflow, clean the coil, and make sure the outdoor fan runs (see EC07 if not).
- Check the charge. If low, find the leak and add refrigerant. If all good, replace the outdoor main board.
