What the control is telling you

Only on transmitters with an LCD screen: the transmitter and receiver are not communicating properly.

Likely causes

  • Weak batteries in the transmitter or receiver

  • Transmitter inside a metal enclosure or lying on metal

Test and repair steps

  1. Put new batteries in both the transmitter and the receiver.
  2. Keep the transmitter within 20 ft of the receiver.
  3. Do not keep the transmitter in a metal enclosure or lying on a metal surface.
  4. If needed, relearn the code press LEARN on the module (one beep = ready), then the transmitter; five quick beeps = code accepted. Holding LEARN for 10 s clears the memory (three long beeps).
