01 Control mode setting 01 (remote thermostat mode)

Menu / mode display EX DT

What the display is showing

Selects remote thermostat mode, for when a wall thermostat kit is installed. Do not select it without the thermostat connection parts installed. The remote thermostat does not turn the furnace on or off, ON/OFF must still be used. Fault codes show on the furnace display, not on the remote thermostat. Unplugging the furnace within two hours of entering this mode sends it back to the factory default.

Applies to: Rinnai EX08DT, EX11DT, EX17DT, EX22DT direct vent wall furnaces

What to do

  1. Enter the setting menu as under 00, press Up until 01 shows, then press ON/OFF.
