E110 Low line voltage

High severity EL296UHVLennox SL280UHVLennox ML180UHELennox SL297NV

What the control is telling you

Line voltage is below the nameplate rating.

Applies to: EL296UHV(X) series furnaces (integrated control 103130-XX and 107045-XX)

Likely causes

  • Low supply voltage from utility or panel
  • Undersized or loose supply wiring

Test and repair steps

  1. Warning: Use caution when measuring 120 VAC line voltage.
  2. Measure line voltage at the furnace and compare to the nameplate (120 V, 60 Hz).
  3. At the integrated control, line hot to line neutral should read 97-132 VAC.
  4. Check breaker, disconnect and wiring connections for voltage drop.
  5. Correct the supply problem; the alarm clears 5 seconds after voltage recovers.
