Likely causes
- Flame rollout
- Burners out of alignment
- Blocked flue or inlet air pipe, or failed inducer
- Loose wiring
- Short in the 24 V control or safety circuits
- Faulty rollout limit
Test and repair steps
- Turn off power before repairs.
- Check burner alignment.
- Check flue and inlet piping for blockage, length, elbows and termination. Fix as needed.
- Check the rollout limit and replace it if bad.
- Check the inducer and replace it if it performs badly.
- Tighten wiring. If the control fuse blew, find the short, then replace the fuse with a 3 A automotive fuse.
