Daikin · Furnace
EbL Low circulator current - hard lockout
What the control is telling you
After the heat-on delay the main blower motor draws much less current than expected. The furnace stops and goes to hard lockout.
Applies to: Daikin DR96TN (upflow/horizontal) and DD96TN (downflow/horizontal) two-stage 96% furnaces with 9-speed ECM motor, R-32 ready
Likely causes
- Loose blower motor wiring
- Burnt or failed blower motor
Test and repair steps
- Power off and check all blower motor connections (line plug and speed tap harness) at the motor and control.
- Check that the motor gets 115 VAC and a speed tap signal during a call.
- If wiring and supply are good and the motor does not run or draws little current, replace the blower motor.
- Reset by cycling power and run a full heat cycle.
