EbU Unexpected circulator current - hard lockout
What the control is telling you
During inducer pre-purge (before the blower should run) the main blower motor draws more current than expected. The furnace stops and goes to hard lockout.
Applies to: Daikin DR96TN (upflow/horizontal) and DD96TN (downflow/horizontal) two-stage 96% furnaces with 9-speed ECM motor, R-32 ready
Likely causes
- Loose motor wiring
- Line voltage wires to the control and blower motor reversed
Test and repair steps
- Power off and check the blower motor wiring connections for looseness.
- Check that line voltage to the control and main blower motor isn't swapped; fix it to match the wiring diagram.
- Reset by cycling power and check that the blower stays off during pre-purge.
