Normal status Carrier Infinity 18VS 25VNA8Carrier 2-stage 24ANB/25HNBCarrier single-stage communicating HP

What the display is showing

The green COMM LED on the outdoor control board shows the state of communication with the Infinity control. It stays off until communication is established, turns on steadily once a valid command is received, and goes off again if nothing valid arrives for 2 minutes. It is also off with a standard non-communicating thermostat. If it stays off when communication is expected, inspect the user interface wiring, the indoor and outdoor units and their power.

Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
