Flow-activated hot water call

Greentherm T9800/T9900

What happens, in order

  1. Hot tap opens and flow reaches the activation point (at least 0.45 GPM needed)
  2. Optional startup delay (menu A8) holds the burner back before it starts
  3. Fan starts, igniter sparks, gas valve opens and ionization rod proves flame
  4. Gas valve modulates the burner for the setpoint against flow and inlet temperature
  5. Solar mode if inlet water is already near the setpoint (within about 1 F) the burner does not light and the solar indicator shows
  6. When flow drops to the deactivation point (0.35 GPM) the burner stops
