Field gas conversion NG to LP - Noritz NRCR/EZ Pro

What is going on

Pro units ship for natural gas with the LP kit taped to the top; conversion takes about 5 minutes. Must be done by a qualified installer.

Likely causes

  • Job site has LP

Check in this order

  1. Warning: Turn off gas and power. A digital gas manometer and gas analyzer are required.
  2. Remove the screw and the c-clip, then carefully remove the gas fitting.
  3. Remove the 2 screws securing the venturi fitting.
  4. Remove the NG orifice and insert the LP orifice, keeping the o-ring and gasket in place.
  5. Secure the venturi fitting, refit the gas fitting, c-clip and screw.
  6. Plug in the LP conversion connector.
  7. In EZ Start Plus Contractor > select unit > passcode > Unit Setting > Convert Gas Type > LP > Done (or use the built-in display).
  8. Check inlet pressure (LP 8-14 in. WC) and offset pressure, check combustion, leak test, and attach the gas conversion sticker.
