Blower not running - R-32 AMST/AWSF EEM air handler
What is going on
Indoor blower (EEM/constant-torque motor) does not start on a fan, cooling or heat call.
Likely causes
- No 240 V at the motor
- No 24 V signal to a motor tap
- Failed motor or motor module
Check in this order
- Warning: Disconnect power before handling motor connectors.
- Measure about 240 V across L and N at the motor; if missing, check breaker, fuses and wiring.
- Measure 24 V from C to the active speed tap (T1-T5 / T6-T9 or 1-5 depending on model); if missing, confirm the thermostat is calling for fan and check the low-voltage fuse and wiring.
- With both line voltage and 24 V present and no rotation, the motor (or its module) has failed - replace it.
- When fitting a new motor, keep the belly band clear of the motor vents and form a drip loop in the wiring.
Applies to: R-32 AMST, AWSF/AWST, ACSF air handlers with EEM blower

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
