EH03 Indoor fan speed out of range
What the control is telling you
Indoor fan stays too slow (about 300 RPM) or too fast (about 1500 RPM) long enough to stop the unit.
Applies to: DLFSHBH high wall indoor units 09-24K (Midea / Carrier / Viessmann) on DLC multi-zone or single-zone outdoor units
Likely causes
- Wiring
- Fan wheel blocked
- Bad fan motor
- Bad indoor PCB
Test and repair steps
- Safety kill power at the disconnect and wait for the inverter capacitors to discharge before touching boards or wiring.
- Restart after 2 minutes. If it clears, the unit is fine.
- With power off, turn the blower wheel by hand and clear anything that drags.
- Check the motor wiring.
- In standby measure at the motor plug pin 1 to 3 = 192-380 V DC on 208-230 V units (140-190 V on 115 V units); pin 4 to 3 = 13.5-16.5 V; pin 5 = 0-6.5 V; pin 6 = 13.5-16.5 V.
- Voltages wrong = replace the indoor PCB. Voltages right = replace the fan motor.
