H6 Indoor fan motor not running / no feedback
What the control is telling you
The indoor board gets no speed signal from the DC fan motor, so everything stops and the louver holds position.
Applies to: Gree Sapphire 9-24k (SAP..HP230V1A), Livo GEN4 30-36k (4LIV..HP230V1A), Vireo GEN3 9-24k (3VIR..HP115/230V1A), Multi21+ 18-24k multi-zone (MULTI..HP230V1CO)
Likely causes
- Fan wheel jammed or rubbing
- Motor plug loose (feedback or drive side)
- Fan motor failed
- Indoor board speed-sensing circuit faulty
Test and repair steps
- With power off, spin the blower wheel by hand; fix rubbing or a loose wheel.
- Reseat the motor plug on the indoor board.
- Power up check 280-310 VDC between motor plug pins 1 and 2 and 15 VDC between pins 2 and 3; if missing, replace the board.
- Check for a control signal between pins 2 and 4 while calling; if present and the motor does not run, replace the motor.
- If no signal, replace the indoor board.
