Indoor board LED2 blinking - remote controller line problem
What is going on
LED2 on the indoor control board blinks. If LED1 blinks too, the indoor/outdoor wire is the problem; if LED1 is steady, look at the remote controller line.
Likely causes
- Indoor/outdoor connecting wire loose (LED1 also blinking)
- On twin/triple systems, remote wired to more than one indoor unit
- Refrigerant address wrong, or more than one unit at address 0 in a group
- Remote controller wire shorted
- Faulty remote controller
Check in this order
- If LED1 is also blinking, check the S1-S2-S3 connections.
- On twin/triple systems, connect the remote to only one of the indoor units.
- In group control, make sure only one system uses address 0 (SW1 3-6 on the outdoor board).
- Disconnect the remote wire if LED2 keeps blinking, the remote wire is shorted. If LED2 goes steady, reconnect - blinking again means a bad remote; steady means the connection was the problem.
