Likely causes

  • Old faults stored in memory

Check in this order

  1. Scroll with Menu to 'err' for active alarms or 'L6F' for the last 6 faults, press Option to enter.
  2. Hold Option at least 5 s inside L6F to erase; three dashes 3 times confirms.
  3. Factory reset at idle hold Menu + Option 15 s until 'FD' flashes 3 times.
  4. Run test (run menu) cycles the blower at 1st then 2nd stage compressor airflow for 30 s each, three times; it does not start the outdoor unit and takes about 70 s to begin.

For licensed technicians. Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a qualified, licensed person. Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
