ODU P5 Condenser high temperature (outdoor board)

Medium severity Carrier DLCM(R/H)B multi-zone outdoor

What the control is telling you

Outdoor board display. Indoor shows PC0A.

Applies to: DLCMRBH / DLCMHBH multi-zone outdoor units 18-48K (Midea, Carrier, Viessmann Vitocal 200-S)

Test and repair steps

  1. Safety kill power at the disconnect and wait for the inverter capacitors to discharge before touching boards or wiring.
  2. Check the condenser (T3) sensor connection and resistance (about 10 kOhm at 77 F).
  3. If outdoor air is above 122 F (50 C), the unit is outside its range: shut it down.
  4. Check outdoor airflow, clean the coil, and make sure the outdoor fan runs (see EC07 if not).
  5. Check the charge. If low, find the leak and add refrigerant. If all good, replace the outdoor main board.
