J2 Discharge temperature protection

High severity Carrier DLCM(R/H)B multi-zone outdoor

What the control is telling you

Same fault as PC06. Shown on the 48K high heat model.

Applies to: DLCMHBH48EAK (48K high heat) only

Test and repair steps

  1. Safety kill power at the disconnect and wait for the inverter capacitors to discharge before touching boards or wiring.
  2. Confirm the discharge temperature really is high (over 239 F / 115 C) with a contact thermometer.
  3. Check the discharge sensor plug and wiring against the diagram, and measure the sensor (about 54.9 kOhm at 77 F).
  4. Check for a leak / low charge. Repair the leak and recharge.
  5. If charge and sensor are good, replace the outdoor main PCB.
